Art can add beauty to the lives of those who experience it. Carmel is an artist who seeks to bring her own vision of abstract paintings and explorations of texture to your collection. Her work has a sense of the ethereal, the half remembered dream or a forgotten landscape or thought. Some pieces are dark, dramatic and sombre whilst others are light and textured with glistening metallic hints. Layers of ink and pigment rest alongside more bold colours. Carmel explores line, structure and texture along with anchored points or elements of drawings over layers of paint. Subject and environment are ambiguous, coupled with burnished surfaces and gold to break the illusion of space.
